The first manual lens I acquired for my new Pentax K5 at the time for a very cheap price. I was impressed with how sharp the images were and the pleasing background it creates. The lack of auto focus did not bother me that much as I don't mind finding the sweet spot myself. The fact that this lens is old yet maintains its awesome qualities should give it bonus points.

Lovely little lens. 35mm is perfect for walking around. This lens is sharp from F2 on. the hood that comes with it is a little annoying as it can come lose easily. All in all a great lens that takes sharp pictures with great contrast

Nice cheap zoom but beware that Autofocus can be slow and hunt.

My first lens with my K5. I loved this lens as it was light and inexpensive. I used it in the rain and the weather sealing works great. It takes relatively sharp images when stopped down to f8 and up. You get what you pay for. Nice images at a cheap price and WEATHER SEALED.

This is a nice looking lens that takes high contrast pictures with lovely color that are great to look at. I used it less than my other lenses, maybe because of its odd focal length. There can be some purple fringing in bright situations. The auto-focus is fast. Its a good lens and does the job well.

I love this lens. It's small, compact and light and gives a lovely rendering on the K5. Better than 50mm as a walk around on ASP-C. Some of my favorite shots have been with this lens. Shots are very sharp with great contrast. It's at a great focal length on the k5. The optics is fantastic. It's all metal so you don't have to worry to much about breaking it. Keep an eye on the little lens cap as it's so small you tend to misplace it a lot. This lens is a gem. I won't sell.
I wish this lens was faster than 2.8 so I can use it for hand held low light shots.
Wish I could put 9.5.
