pros: built, color, handling, good for low light capture

as good as many K series this lens also inherit sharpness, it's very sharp! i'm also surprised that the lens has good flare/glow resistance
bokeh is not attractive, but it's not something important for me
the lens only has minor cons, it's weight

same as many Super/SMC Takumar lenses, it has metal body, good build quality, relatively fast focusing, the lens also produced good color rendering, it' takumar tonal!
for me the lens is not heavy, so it's good for travelling, mine has many scratches on front element, but it's no effect for any taking some photos
as mentioned from previous reviewer the SMC Takumar 105mm F2.8 has no interesting sharpness in wide open, but in one stop down it's starting very sharp!

like most lens Takumar which has metal body, this lens also has excellent built quality
mine is late version, has complete full set with hood and case, this lens has fast focusing, mediocre sharpness, very good aberrations, becoming very sharp in stop down

this lens is small, has plastic body (except the early version has metal body), overall has excellent price and performance ratio, no one lens has cheap price with excellent capture and color rendering like this lens....i rate this lens has excellent performance

I got this lens in flea market, in very poor condition, filter thread is lost, with internal corrosive
then I bring it to a repair man for cleaned and services, later ready to use
first time using the lens I'm surprise with the bokeh characters, this lens can produce beautiful bokeh, it's also has good sharpness, macro focusing is easy

very sharp, little bit heavy and bigger when it's compare to M version, be careful if shot in sun bright, it's prone to flare and CA, the lens character is similar to the big brother: SMC Pentax 135mm f2.5, additional hood should be installed when shot wide open in sun bright

amazing lens for sharpness, this lens is also cheap, i didn't find any bad things about this lens, i have been own three times, two lens have been sold, i keep one

i have one with scratch and cleaning mark on back element, it didn't affect image quality, color saturation still excellent
here the sample image, the primate were have been in glass cage, close focused shot, taken at zoo in Jakarta, Indonesia, really like this lens

I had this lens twice, i'm not sure for the first lens, it's sold :)
latest i have the second one, it is surely I have the good copy, with perfect coating, how lucky I am!
really like this lens, although a little awkward when shooting macro, here are the sample shot in wide open (F2.8), ISO100, no post processing, RAW to JPEG convert:
