Pros: | really tiny, sharp | Cons: | push-in lens cap | New or Used?: New
Camera Used: K-01
| | Amazingly tiny lens which is very sharp and somewhat more useful (if you think wider = useful) than the 50mm to walk around with. Great match for the K-01.
The only downside is the push-in lens cover, which I will inevitably lose.

| | This lens is an excellent performer and delivers the same sharp images as the DA40mm limited at a fraction of the price!
The only complaints I have about this lens is that the AF is relatively noisy, and that it lacks quick shift (which the limited version has). It's also a bit hard to mount at times, due to its small size.
The DA 40mm XS lens is a great fit for the K-01 as well as any Pentax DSLR if you're looking to keep things compact!

Pros: | Size, Focal Length, Look on a K5, Price | Cons: | Lens cap | Sharpness: 9
Aberrations: 9
Bokeh: 10
Autofocus: 10
Handling: 10
Value: 10
New or Used?: Used
Camera Used: K5
| | Very nice image quality, nice bokeh. This lens while made for the K-01 looks very cool on the K5, gives it a rangefinder look. Great price especially if you get it with the K-01 kit.
Makes a great street lens and makes the K5 much more portable in my opinion. I need to find a lens cap alternative, it comes with a little rubber stopper which is annoying. Maybe just get a small filter and forsake the cap.
