GREEN.L LENS FILTER

GREEN.L Infrared Filter, Multi-Resistant Nano Coating HD IR Filter for Camera Lens

IR FILTER

The GREEN.L Infrared Filter is a specialized filter used for infrared photography with digital cameras and specialized infrared film.Excellent for outdoor and indoor filming, the filter is essential for capturing the highest pictures in overcast outdoor lighting. With the filter in place 99% of the light seen by the naked eye is blocked out and only infrared light is filtered through. Technically the naked eye cannot see 100% black but with the infrared filter and your camcorder specialist functions, you will magically be able to.Due to the nature of infrared photography, the filter factor for this filter is highly variable and depends largely on the ISO sensitivity in use and lighting conditions.

IR FILTER

Note:

1.Please set a custom white balance of your camera.

2.Please set the camera to manual mode, try a few more times, get the best exposure time. The exposure time is relatively long when using IR filters.

  • 720nm for indoor and weak light use.
  • 760nm for cloudy outdoor at nightfall and brightness indoor.
  • 850nm for indoor and weak cloudy outdoor light.

Misleading and not an actual Infrared
Super misleading for the price. Wanted to purchase the Hoya R72 filter originally but the price of this filter caught my attention. Used it for about a week and took some decent photos but once I started to edit my photos and follow tutorials, I wasn’t achieving the same end results. The first step and most important I found was to create my own lightroom profile to properly edit the white balance. All the tutorials I followed ended up turning their bright red photos into a nice gray tone bluish/pinkish photo where mine turned BRIGHT yellow. And from there it was all down hill and I couldn’t achieve anything near a true infrared photo. The whites were dull the blacks were more gray. The pinks and blues were mashed together. I think it’s a red filter with a dark coating over it to make it look/act like an infrared filter. (I don’t claim to be an expert on infrared but following multiple tutorials EXACTLY I couldn’t achieve a look anywhere near to the tutorials)

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent 720nm IR Filter
Reviewed in the United States on May 26, 2023
It can be challenging to find an actual IR filter at a reasonable price on Amazon. I have been burned more than once by getting filters that are 25A's with a ND coating to let less light in. Colors as expected when blue and red chanels are inverted. Solid contruction.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bona fide 720mm filter for photography.
Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2022
This works well for short exposure on full spectrum sensors. Can't vouch for long exposures on standard sensors. Test photos worked great but i don't have one of the really expensive but similar 720nm filters to compare against. This appears to be a very good value. The gradient in the sky of my enclosed photo is both light leak and heat from my hand. The camera back was still off and my hand was pressed against the metal innards of the camera as a shield!
