The Pentax-D FA 150-450mm lens has been designed for use will full-frame cameras, but it is of course also compatible with APS-C bodies, on which it provides a narrower field of view with better corner-to-corner performance. Its full specifications are listed in the table below.

Note that firmware updates are required for the Pentax K-S1, K-S2, and K-3 for full compatibility and optimal focusing with this lens. Older cameras will not fully support all of lens's focusing features.
As the Pentax full-frame DSLR is not due for release until late 2015, the tests that follow over the course of the following pages were performed with current APS-C bodies.
