Lowepro Photo Sport BP 200 AW II

Introduction

Lowepro is one of the best-known manufacturers of camera bags. The company has been making bags since 1967 and offers one of the most comprehensive lineups of carrying solutions for cameras, scopes and the like.

Lowepro was also one of the first to move away from the boxy black rectangle that seemed to be the only option to carry photo gear for a long period of time. Nowadays, the Lowepro lineup includes numerous bags with varying styles ranging from the simple and inexpensive to the specialized and higher-end.

Among these is the Photo Sport line. Now in the second generation, these bags are designed primarily as hiking backpacks, to which Lowepro applied its experience in making camera bags. The result is a features-rich backpack with several unique elements.

Available in two colors (blue and black) and two sizes (20 and 30 liters), the Photo Sport BP 200 AW II and 300 AW II are meant to appeal to hikers, backpackers but also casual users looking for a convenient way to carry their camera along with snacks, a jacket or some spare clothes.

In this review we will look at the smaller of the two bags. At 20 liters, the BP II 200 can carry a small amount of photo gear, but comes with all the features of its larger sibling. Read on to see how we liked the Lowepro Photo Sport BP II 200!
