DA 12-24mm vs Sigma and Tamron 10-24mm Comparison
Lens Specifications
All three ultra-wide zoom lenses, the Pentax DA 12-24mm f/4, the Sigma DG 12-24 f/4.5-5.6, and the Tamron SP AF 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 DI II, are well built and have similar characteristics. The lenses are rectilinear as opposed to being fish-eye lenses.
For the most part they have comparable dimensions and weight, although the Sigma is slightly heavier than the Pentax and the Tamron. The side-by-side specification of each lens, seen below, highlights the differences between the lenses. The green cells emphasize the areas where lens excels and the red cells indicate where the lens could be improved.
