The Pentax DA* 50-135mm zoom lens is designed exclusively for digital cameras and only covers the APS-C image circle.  It will function and autofocus on film SLRs that do not require an aperture ring, but you will experience significant vignetting due to the insufficient lens circle.

As this is a DA-series lens, modern Pentax DSLRs will support in-camera distortion and aberration correction when this lens is mounted.
