Ricoh GRD IV

Note that while the Nikon comes with a neck strap, both Ricoh cameras are bundled with wrist straps.  Also, the new Ricoh GR does not include a dedicated battery charger.  Instead, the USB cable is connected to the power adapter and plugged into the camera.  Many users prefer to have dedicated chargers, as they make it easier to charge multiple batteries.  As an aside, since both the Ricoh GR and the Coolpix A have a relatively short battery life, we recommend purchasing at least one extra battery.

Optional Accessories

Many additional accessories are available for both the GR and the Coolpix A.  The Coolpix A's accessory lineup is substantially more robust as the camera has a number of dedicated ports that enable compatibility with a GPS unit and other wireless devices.  The most notable accessory for the GR is a 21mm wide conversion lens which widens the camera's field of view.

Fixed optical viewfinders are available for both cameras, while neither supports any electronic viewfinders.

Generic lens filters can be adapted via dedicated adapters.
