Sample Photos

Below is a series of sample photos that we shot using the Sigma 30mm "Art" and the Pentax K-3 and K-5 IIs.  We kept processing to a minimum and used out-of-camera JPEGs taken base ISO and default settings unless otherwise noted.  The K-3's AA filter simulator was disabled.

Based on the samples, it looks like the 30mm's sweet spot for daylight close-ups lies around F4, as this aperture setting offers a good balance of sharpness, bokeh, and light transmission.  For samples of images taken wide-open, refer to the bokeh test page.
