The DA* series consists of high-end K-mount lenses designed exclusively for use with Pentax Digital SLR bodies. Like all other lenses in the DA* lineup, the DA*200mm f/2.8 features an excellent build quality which is both weather and dust resistant. It is also equipped with SDM silent autofocus and supports full-time manual focus adjustments (quick-shift).

The DA* 200mm F2.8 is almong the first modern telephoto primes in the Pentax lens lineup. In spite of the DA* name and Digital label, the optical formula of this lens is derived from the FA* 200mm f/2.8, and it is therefore full-frame- and film-compatible.

In this review we will be taking a look at the usability and optical performance the Pentax DA* 200mm f/2.8 lens. Read on for the strengths and weaknesses of this lens!
