What's in the box

The lens comes with a dedicated bayonet hood, a carrying pouch, and a user manual. In the US, it is covered by a 6 years warranty. The rear cap is a common designed used by Sigma and Tamron, and is sadly one we do not like at all. It locks in place by twisting, like most other caps, but its design means only one precise angle will allow it to be locked in place. A small annoyance, but it means placing the rear cap on the lens by touch only is difficult and may require a few attempts. The front cap is of the center-pinch type, allowing easy removal even with the hood in place.
