Think Tank Retrospective 5

Introduction

The front of the Retrospective 5

First off, I will preface this review by stating that I have never owned a Think Tank product prior to the Retrospective 5 nor had I really considered owning one. I was aware of Think Tank as a brand as they have plenty of exposure and positive reviews for a variety of their products, but since there are a myriad of choices on the market for camera bags it just never really appeared on my radar.

In the past couple of years since I first took up photography as a hobby, I have owned various bags from brands such as Domke, Dakine, and Timbuk2 as well as a generic bag bought on ebay. Most recently, my bag of choice for my current smaller camera kit, which consisted of three K-01s, five limited lenses and a few specialty lenses, was the Timbuk2 Snoop XS. While that bag has served my needs quite adequately, it has a couple of shortcomings that the Retrospective 5 seems to remedy.

With that in mind, let’s have a look at what the Think Tank Retrospective 5 has to offer.
