| Quantaray 100-300mm F4.5-6.7 LDO Review |
I only had a DA 55-300 in the 300mm range that I got for my K30. When I got a K1II, I wanted to find full-frame lens for that range. I found this on eBay for $11 plus shipping. I saw positive reviews on here and figured it would be worth a shot.
I am very pleasantly surprised.

| | Sigma 50mm F2.8 EX DG Macro Review |
I was attracted to the Sigma because it seemed like a perfect compromise for my needs: a moderately fast 50mm for FF, while still allowing for all those lovely macro opportunities I may come across on my photo walks. To this end, it has delivered.
Wit

| | Sigma 70-210mm F3.5-4.5 APO Review |
I've got 2 items oft the latest version with golden ring and I'm very happy with them.- unfortunately both without the achromatic macro lens for the top screw mount :o:o:o -
++ high sharpness :fedup:
+/++ good to excellent correction of CAs (my advice: stop it down a few!)
++ integrated...
| | Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 APO Macro (1994-2000) Review |
The lens I have here is the 1994 variant of the APO Macro, not the Super released in 2000 which according to an old review on Shutterbug “feature an entirely new optical formula while keeping the best of predecessors' capabilities”. Hence the separate database entry.
I bought this one as a compani...
| | Sigma 70-210mm F3.5-4.5 AF-APO Review |
The immediate predecessor to the 70-210mm F3.5-4.5 APO Macro, for which an entry already exists. To my understanding, this was Sigma’s first entry into the higher-end telephoto market back in 1986, so it’s a first-generatio
n AF push-puller. It’s big and large and quite heavy at ~700 grams but does...
| | Cosina / Petri Cosinon-s 50mm F2 Review |
The Miranda Camera Company, originally named the Orion Camera Company, manufactured cameras in Japan between 1955 and 1978.
This Cosina/Petri badged lens was also sold as a "Miranda 50mm F2.0" in K-mount by the UK Chain Store called Dixons along with the PK-mount Miranda MS1 version of the Cosina c...

Yashinon lenses are often copies of ZEISS lenses - because of a former joint verturebetween ZEISS and Kyocera.:):):)

| | Tamron Adaptall-2 SP 35-105mm f/2.8 (65A) Review |
An interesting lens; I’ve seen some really damning reviews of this, but they are wrong I think. I have two of these and there is no sample variation between them optically or mechanically. Mechanically it focuses nicely and the aperture ring operates satisfyingly - but I do find the zoom a bit stic...
| | Sigma UC Zoom 24-50mm 1:4-5.6 Review |
While waiting to get some 24-70/2.8 money, I couldn't skip this lovely little thing I found in a used hardware store. I was positively surprised overall.
Optic
ally the lens performs well, if you take into account its age and the fact that its a film lens.

| | Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 AF XR Di LD Macro SP Review |
Very good overall lens, I use it for portraits and indoor pictures
Somet
imes contrast can be low, and using a lenshood helps
Image quality is good, not major aberrations, color transmission tends to be colder but still very good.
K5ii has trouble focusing in low light, but the K3-iii doesn't.
