Adaptall lens caps (original and improvised)

Description:
Pic 1 shows the original clear acrylic dedicated rear cap. This fits all adaptall lenses but is often missing, and the plastic is a bit brittle so the flanges tend to break off. This cap however is the only one that fits eg the late adaptall 59A 28-70mm (pic 2) or the 24-48mm 13A, the alternative is a mount + cap.
For other lenses there are two possibilities depending on whether there is or isn't a rear protruding light baffle. For the latter (inc 60-300mm 23A, 70-210mm 19AH, the telephoto primes...) a new canon EOS camera body cap is relatively ideal (pic 3). For the former (the 80-210's, 70-210mm 46A, the wide angle primes..) a cap for old canon FD*, slightly modded, does the trick. The red line in pic 4 indicates the part of a flange that needs to be removed. This part then engages in the lens by the release lever (pic 5).
Note that the 24mm 01B, 28mm 02B will accept the FD lens cap but the focus has to be moved away from infinity.
*new FD caps from China with thin plastic are relatively ideal and cheap.
Finally, another possibility is a M42 to canon EOS adapter with a M42 body cap - pic 6. But the other options are quicker and easier and cheaper.
Mount Type: Third-party (adapter required)
