Pros: Build, sharp one stop down, bokeh, long focus throw ...
Cons: Aperture flange in conversion - without maching far focus limited to about 10 feet

Bonjour,

New "Franken-lens" project here ...

Thanks to my Dremel and a Chinese M42 to PK flanged adapter, I converted a Mamiya/Sekor Auto SX 50/2 (another thrift store acquisition). Also, I super-glued the aperture pin down resulting in a full manual lens.

Far focus is only about ten feet ... more can be gained if I machine the aperture ring down, etc. But, this is really beyond how I want to use this lens.

Having fun experimenting with this new creation ... so, an initial "8" rating for the moment and a few test captures in our garden ... Salut, J
