Pros: Overall a decent lens. Can be found cheap.
Cons:
Sharpness: 8    Aberrations: 7    Bokeh: 8    Handling: 9    Value: 10

Another capable performer, if you don't ask much. Lens like this really can make great images, but stay away from direct strong light because the coating is not as good as SMC.

Pros: lo-fi look, slightly soft wide open
Cons: vignetting wide open
Sharpness: 8    Aberrations: 8    Bokeh: 10    Handling: 10    Value: 10

great find and a good lens to any m42 lens collection, performs as well as the Pentax 28mm f3.5 at half the price.

Pros: lightweight, cheap
Cons: didn't find any
Sharpness: 9    Aberrations: 9    Bokeh: 9    Handling: 10    Value: 10    Camera Used: Pentax P50

Great lens for its price. You can get for really cheap. If you look for 28mm you will notice how Pentax 28mm f2.8 can get pricy these days.

I tried this Clubman on few rolls of film with my Pentax P50 and sold it, just because my wife presented a 35mm Pentax-M to me on Christmas. Actually, I don't notice much difference between 28 and 35 focal length

Pros: Cheap, excellent on Micro 4/3
Cons: needs a good lens hood
Sharpness: 9    Aberrations: 8    Bokeh: 7    Handling: 9    Value: 10    Camera Used: Panasonic G2 with PK adaptor

I have 2 versions of this lens in PK mounts - one as a Clubman and the other the Panagor version- each bought for30 years old) - these are fantastic performers on 35mm stopped down to >F4 and make excellent manual focus standard lenses on Micro 4/3. In this case - look out for the rarer "Macro" version that went to 1:4 close up which gives this lens a big advantage over standard kit zooms for crop sensor cameras.

On Micro 4/3 cameras the edge softness and lower contrast wide open at F2.8 becomes a bonus as this is then a 55mm equivalent 3/4 length portrait lens!

Pros: Solid build, quite sharp, little CA, cheap to buy
Cons: No major negatives
Sharpness: 8    Aberrations: 10    Bokeh: 5    Handling: 8    Value: 10

A Cima Kogaku (Cimko) made lens - the green diamond gives it away. Very solid, all metal construction with attention to detail - even the lens cap is metal ! Sharp on APS DSLR (K-7) except at f2.8 where some corner softness creeps in together with vignetting. Colour reproduction is good, slightly cool. Bokeh can be weird when opened wide, reasonable when closed up a bit,

Can be picked up very cheaply and is an excellent bargain buy. Sample photos at different apertures at http://www.flickr.com/photos/kh1234567890/sets/72157627778642740
