| | Carl Zeiss Jena Jenazoom made in Japan 4.5-5.6/70-210 MACRO - made in Japan (not in GDR by ZEISS JENA) - 10/7 elements
has the same optical design and a very similar housing as EXAKTA 4.5-5.6/70-210 Macro II in plastic housing, but metal mount (there are 2 versions of COSINA - the older one is
the better one)
+++ excellent - very good sharpness (80 line pairs/mm = 160 black and white lines/mm) = professional value
++ neutral color rendition
++/+ very good correction of CAs
++/+ high contrast because of excellent coating
unfortunately very rare
totally 8.5 points and my full recommendation
engineers of Jena weren't capable to develop zoom lenses - inspite of high performance single lenses like TESSAR. SONNAR etc..
with 36 mm macro tube excellent flower and insect shootings possible with f 11
the still a few better version is the a.m. older EXAKTA lens with metal housing version I (optical design 12/9)
