As good as (3) primes in its focal range, therefore a versatile lens. Very (!) sharp center and corners at f5.6, center sharpness already excellent rating at 3.4. Very good micro contrast. Has the Zeiss 3-D rendering. Not the fastest lens, but I mainly use it outdoors for landscapes. Lower CA compared to other CZ lenses. Macro is a real bonus.
