Pros: | Sharp, neat colors, easy to focus, sharp, and great IQ overall | Cons: | None so far | | I finally got this lens, I thought that my SMC Pentax K135f2.5 was going to beat it, but not. It is a tie. This lens rocks, it is easy to use and in Av pritorty does not require the stop down with the green button. The K135 still is the King, but the CZJ is more user-friendly and I can shoot birds in flight. The best discovery I havde found si the use of this lens as a marco, it does not have a macro per se, but it focus so neat and close up that it deserves. This lens bit by far the Jupiter 37A and by a small margen the Tair 11A both in the 135mm f2.8 range. I will be posting some pics later. Dew on Flower with Bee by Palenquero, on Flickr

Pros: | compact, solid, very sharp | Cons: | Prone to sticky aperture | | I purchased this lens as part of a $300 box set, in which it was not the star attraction. I had low expectations, only some of which were met.
The downside of this lens, this copy being no exception, is that it is prone to aperture problems. Thankfully this is limited to the return in the A position, so stop-down metering and exposure are unaffected. The other quirk of this copy is that it focuses well past infinity (when tested at about 30 degrees C).
In comparison to the, already sharp, K135/2.5, this lens is sharper still, throughout the entire aperture range and across the APS-C Frame. Chromatic aberrations are very well controlled. Contrast is outstanding for a non-digital lens of this age. Color temperature is noticeably warmer than the K135/2.5
If you have sufficient light, and a good copy, this is a truly great manual lens.
I originally rated this a 9, which it is in terms of IQ and Value.
Despite its weight and solid feel, however, build quality is only 6 or 7.
