Lens Review Date: August 19, 2019 I can recommend this lens: Yes | Price: $200.00 | Rating: 10

Pros: Excellent and unique optical formula
Cons: Focusing often tight in old version
Sharpness: 10    Aberrations: 9    Bokeh: 9    Handling: 10    Value: 9    Camera Used: Olympus Pen-F, Fuji X-T20

This lens has a very unusual optical formula and is the best 50/1.7-1.8 I ever had.
Problem is: the old, made in West Germany version has often a dried up grease in its focusing ring; the newer made in Singapore version is plasticy and wobbly.

Pros: Bokeh, build, Zeiss, A/M switch ...
Cons: "Force fit" on PK mount, far focus ends at about 1m ...
Sharpness: 9    Aberrations: 8    Bokeh: 9    Handling: 7    Value: 9    Camera Used: K-5

Bonjour,

Just a quick entry of a lens that should not fit a PK mount ... I picked this CZ Planar 50/1.8 in Rollei QBM mount at Poitiers' swap meet/exchange for a song. It will "force fit" on a PK mount, but because of large registration difference, no far focus past one meter without modificatin which seems quite difficult. Thus, I will be using this lens for "close" applications. Below are two early test shots.

Salut, John le Frog
