| | This lens has a very unusual optical formula and is the best 50/1.7-1.8 I ever had.
Problem is: the old, made in West Germany version has often a dried up grease in its focusing ring; the newer made in Singapore version is plasticy and wobbly.

Just a quick entry of a lens that should not fit a PK mount ... I picked this CZ Planar 50/1.8 in Rollei QBM mount at Poitiers' swap meet/exchange for a song. It will "force fit" on a PK mount, but because of large registration difference, no far focus past one meter without modificatin which seems quite difficult. Thus, I will be using this lens for "close" applications. Below are two early test shots. Salut, John le Frog
