Lens Review Date: November 18, 2011 I can recommend this lens: Yes | Price: $60.00 | Rating: 9

Pros: Very sharp, built in hood, takes in light well
Cons: Hood becomes loose, Multi-Coating isn't as good as Pentax's

I picked this up as a package with another lens and a ME Super. This is 55mm which is a bit odd (at least to what I have been exposed to for 135s). In the same lighting conditions my metering was at 400 iso with this (on a K-X) compared to 1600 iso for my M135 3.5. They both were set at 8 and both produce great pictures, but the Consul is quite impressive. The bokeh is so natural and beautiful with this lens (the best of all my lenses). My aperture dial is very smooth, but almost has no resistance so that is easy and nice while shooting.
These aren't too common on Ebay as many of the 135s are, but I would recommend it if you want a manual focus, manual aperture that does extremely well for under $100.
I would say its sharpness is comparable to my Pentax-A 135 2.8.

Lens Review Date: July 26, 2011 I can recommend this lens: Yes | Price: $55.00 | Rating: 8

Pros: Very compact, decent build, cheap.
Cons: Colors are not as rich as SMC's

This might be a rebrand of something else, not sure. ADDED: This lens pretty much resembles the "Japan" Helios 135mm f/2.8

Compact, smaller than usual 135mm, but with decent build. Build-in hood is present, helpful. Results are as usual, not bad, not glorious either, but at least no/less color fringing. Still a fine lens for the price.
