Pros: very sharp, nearly no CAs
Cons: wide open a few weak
Sharpness: 10    Aberrations: 10    Bokeh: 8    Handling: 9    Value: 10    Camera Used: k2,k-x

Very similar to CARENAR 1.8/50 (double Gauß design 6/4)

++ good colours,

++ nice bokeh

++ very few CA's wide open ,,

+++ an excellent lens, stopped down to f 5,6 - f11 extremely sharp

my item is very clear in glass, high contrast at f5,6

Better coating as SUPER CARENAR. - but both well corrected an very sharp.

Bonjour,

I bought this lens over a year ago on a LBA whim ... it had very oily blades that would seize and/or move erratically. Finally found the time to clean ... my first endeavor here and it took some time, but learned a lot.

First post cleaning tests look promising and I'll conservatively rate as a "7" across the board with the promise to test further once the bright sunny spring weather arrives ... indoors tests seem "OK" for their limited extent.

Allez et à plus tard, John le Frog
