I've got a lot of lenses. Especially the wide angle has often problems with sharpness or CA's, but not this lens.

very sharp even in the corners, no visible CA's

f5.6-8 extremely sharp. Perhaps former reviewer have got item with some mistakes therein?

My lens is an excellent performer

Pros: price, sharpness*
Cons: build quality, contrast
Sharpness: 6    Aberrations: 6    Bokeh: 6    Handling: 1    Value: 9

I was nice surprised, when I saw photos from this rattling cloud of plastics and glasses- there's no chance to expect some detail- but they are (not so many, of course). Amazing (the presence of the sharpness, not IQ)...
Bokeh is quite nice, nothing impressive, but it isn't disagreeable.
Cons:
Poor contrast, images seems to be pale as Nosferatu (and they're afraid of direct sunlight so).
But the worst thing is build quality- it must be a wonder, that the lens remains in one piece, when the rings are turned.

Pros: cheap, light
Cons: soft, flares, cheap plastic feel, IQ

To make it quick: NO real use for this lens.
It is cheap and feels cheap.
The images are soft (until stoped down significantly) and lack contrast, so image quality is very poor.
The only reason you might use it for is maybe together with a cheap old camera body for trash stuff or to give it to your (younger) kids ...

(there exists also a version with 'A' setting, but I somehow doubt that its image quality is better)
