| | Hervic Corporation 14225 VENTURA BOULEVARD, SHERMAN OAKS, CA 91423 (dissolved 2003? registered 1977)
The USA distributor of Topcon for Tokyo Optical of Japan 1977-1984?
The Topcon Super DM was the cream of the crop in many people's minds in 1978, at the same time Hervic Corp was also marketing "Hervic - Zivnon" lenses; many which seem to clone other labels such as Aetna Rokunar, another Distributor. Certain "Hervic-Zivnon" lenses don't really clone anything and seem to appear unique to themselves.
The connection as a distributor does create mystique over certain lenses and the origins, so I think it was about time someone posted something relevant to the existence of a "Hervic Company and Hervic Zivnon Lenses", even though most were all marketed under several other labels by multiple distributors and suppliers, and not unique at all.
Great optics if the rendering suits your style, *I use a m4/3 which is not very conducive to most users needs.
