Sharp in center for short distance. Not so sharp (compared to Summicron 50/2) in longer distance up to f5.6. From f5.6 extremly sharp in center and has very nice bokeh - so it is like short telephoto. Of course it gives Leica-colors. I like it as portrait lens and close-up lens.
It is great portrait lens
