| | Its a good lens. Its no worse (or better),in term of image quality,than any other 24mm lens from a third party manufacturer from that era. This includes sharpness, distortion, and bokeh quality. I actually think its better in terms of color saturation than the highly reviewed Tamron adaptall-2 24mm f2.8 BBAR MC.
Image quality from all apertures are useable, but best at F5.6. That being said, I tested the lens with an APS-C camera, so image quality in the corners on 35mm format is unknown.
Build quality is good too. All metal construction. Smooth focus and aperture rings. The only downside to my specific lens is that the aperture blades are not exactly aligned perfectly. The apertures don't have any issues in terms of functionality, just that it doesn't make a evenly spaced octagon when closed down.
Its a good budget wide angle lens.
