Latest Review Posted | Carl Zeiss ZK Distagon T* 25mm F2.8 Since I bought this beauty 1/2 Year ago it is obviously my favorite Lens for Pentax full format ...
Came to it over my Sony a7R IV / a9, where I used my old Contax Zeiss 25mm 2,8 , 28mm 2,8, 35mm 2,8 and Planar 50mm 1,7-
liked always the beautifully cinematic neutral colors and updated with the 25mm 2,0 ZE ( heavier, but magical ) and also the Batis 25, 18, and 85mm ... (They play another League of Class , AF and lightweight ) but I finally find a like New Copy of this now rare and costly Zeiss ZK 25 2,8 It is a bit better than the Old Contax one from 1977 ( witch has minor corner sharpness and more vignetting)
I Tested it against the Pentax FA 31 and the K 28 f2 Hollywood ..
It behaves like the K 28 f2, but with Auto Aperture and Neutral colors, sold the FA 31 and never regret this ...
For color Pop I always use the K28 Hollywood but for HDR Landscapes I prefer the Zeiss.
You have to try one out to realize, what is possible in terms of Resolution, sharpness, Light handling, Flare Resistance, Aberration, Microcontrast... Bokeh is in this wide Angle only for narrow Objects a theme and that functions very well ;-) |
