I bought this lens without doing much research into it beyond reading the reviews very quickly on this website. I am very happy I did - this lens is a keeper, for sure.
It's a true constant aperture 3.5 making it great for modern camera usage, it's sharp, it's color rendition is nice and warm - there isn't much not to like about this lens.
The macro mode on this lens is noteworthy because of its ease-of-use and general convenience.
You rotate a focal control dial to 35mm, pull the dial back to engage macro mode. In macro mode the focal control goes from controlling the focal length to being your macro ring control - very convenient and fast to use.
I could not be happier, best 35 bucks I spent on a lens in years, will post some photos soon!. |
