My cheap copy looks like new, has no zoom creep and focussing is precise and easy.
But I would recommend a lens hood to keep the image quality.
I can't find any distortion, but that's no surprise for a moderate zoom. The viewfinder is very bright due to the fast glass and with the A contacts and a working focus indicator this lens works nicely even on a modern DSLR.
The crop factor issue turns it into a ca 55-110 mm lens, but that's nothing I would have a problem with.
This lens is so cheap and sturdy, if you need an A lens for low cost, you should consider this one! | |
