this lens is EXCELLENT. it is very, very sharp even wide-open. 8-bladed diaphragm makes for nice bokeh. the lens is solidly built, yet lighter in weight than i would expect which is nice. handles extremely well--- barrel action is precise, no zoom creep or stiffness. i LOVE this lens!!!! i can't believe these lenses are so inexpensive--- i realize todays AF lenses can be decent, but i do the majority of my shooting with vintage MF only lenses. there is a magical quality about them-- such the underdog, yet such great performance. i got mine off ebay for $17.00 (buy it now)--- and it is in MINT condition. superb color rendition, sharpness, build quality, and handling.
