Description:
Photax/Photax-paragon is a third party/reseller brand. In the UK it was associated with photographic store chain Dixons. This lens and very similar lenses (f2.8's) can be found under numerous nameplates: Revuenon, Palar, Pentor etc. (pic 4). A similar 35mm f2.8 with a different focus barrel is listed here .
Manufacturer unknown but it looks similar to the vivitar in pic 5, which is identifiable as a Tokina due to the 37xxx serial, albeit that is an f2.8.

Enrico Savazzi refers to an almost identical model as Photax type II, the type I being a classic preset -t-mount lens (similar to the vivitar described in this Ponder and Best brochure ) with two aperture rings. However his type II has no A-M switch whereas the example pictured does. The f2.8 examples don't seem to have an A-M switch either.
On mflenses.com, the similarity of design of this 35mm to known Mitake made lenses was noted in this thread.
A known "good" lens for uv photography - see review by myphotojourney.co.uk.

Pros: sharp center
Cons: strong CAs in the corners
Sharpness: 7    Aberrations: 3    Bokeh: 6    Handling: 6    Value: 3    Camera Used: not usable for aps-c

There are two editions. I've got ones with the small front lens as Revuenon Special.

For children in combination with an analogue EXA I body it's okay, but not for adult photographers.

Inspite of optical construction 6/5, there are so much CA's in the corners.

only for micro 4/3 suitable with adapter
