I cannot add much more to this review than others have said. I purchased it for $60 + shipping, which appears to be a relative bargain, even for "old" Adaptall-2 glass. I can already tell its excellence in portrait and macro work, and look forward to trying it for astro and other work. https://www.pentaxforums.com/gallery/images/112220/large/1_IMGP3461-Edit.jpg

I used this nifty little device with an SMC-A 50mm f/1.7 on my K-1. It's nowhere near as sharp as the 50mm by itself. However, the bokeh it returned ends up looking like an out-of-focus Van Gogh - beautiful and interesting. Here are two samples, slightly cropped... https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=13644&pictureid=130994 https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=13644&pictureid=130993

I tested this with my favorite subject, the moon. At 200mm, tripod-mounted, I found this to be a decent lens. I've used it elsewhere (kitten, children, outdoors) to good effect. Here is the same photo, first time un-retouched, then cropped, then cropped and PP in Lightroom. I have the P/K version of this lens, which I acquired from an auction site. I am disposed to want to like lenses I get inexpensively, but I have difficulty with this one. Some of my difficulty, no doubt, comes from the odd operation of this as compared to my usual 60-300 Tamron Adaptall lens. However, I noticed a distinct lack of sharpness and multi-colored CA in my photos, neither of which seemed to resolve in closing the lens down a bit. The first two photos below are unedited - the third is a cropped and edited version of the second. https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=13433&pictureid=127853 https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=13433&pictureid=127854 https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=13433&pictureid=127855

For the price, this lens seems hard to beat at this length. Again, for the price. I understand that there are excellent 500mm lenses, and there are excellent $25.00 lenses, but the combination of the two on this makes it a great deal. Plus, as you can see, it takes lovely moon photos. The first below is slightly cropped only; the second is cropped further and edited in Lightroom. https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=13398&pictureid=127455 https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=13398&pictureid=127454

I purchased this for $17 (+ shipping) with a ZX-60 body attached, so the price is actually even less than listed. The below images are straight OOC, and they turned out pretty well for a couple test shots. I am not sure whether I will keep the lens or not, but it is solid, focuses well in good light, and reproduces colors very well. https://www.pentaxforums.com/gallery/images/112220/large/1_IMGP0877.jpg https://www.pentaxforums.com/gallery/images/112220/large/1_IMGP0874.jpg

I was surprised to find this lens was as good as it is, especially for $20 (with shipping). I took it out for a spin today, and given the AF and light weight, I might like it more than my Tamron Adaptall-2 60-300. Here are some photos I took of a moth feeding from a flower, with no crop, then progressively cropped (edited in Adobe LR). https://www.pentaxforums.com/gallery/photo-moth-i-57875/ https://www.pentaxforums.com/gallery/photo-moth-feeding-ii-57876/ https://www.pentaxforums.com/gallery/photo-moth-feeding-iii-57877/

I just got this lens, and decided to do some tests outside with it. All in all, an excellent lens. The attached photos from imgur, with the exception of cropping on the last, are entirely unedited. The last I cropped to show the excellent clarity of the lens. I find the bokeh slightly distracting, but that could be just in the particular photos. Otherwise, I recommend this lens highly. https://imgur.com/a/c7zkEjj

I received this from a Goodwill sale - it seemed like a fairly fast 135mm with which to experiment. I took some photos of my kids, my cat, and other stuff and found a few interesting things. 1. When focus is on, it's quite good, esp. for $4.99 with $11.00 shipping. But it's somewhat trying to get the focus on (as compared to my Tamron 60-300...but then, this is basic vs. quasi-legendary comparison). Therefore, I got one quite good, and two decent shots (below) out of ten. 2. I needed very little de-hazing or other adjustment in LightRoom to get the color I wanted. Played around with exposure a bit, but was otherwise happy. 3. It will bear further experimentation, but otherwise, I am pleased. https://www.pentaxforums.com/gallery/images/112220/large/1_IMGP6366.jpg https://www.pentaxforums.com/gallery/images/112220/large/1_IMGP6365.jpg https://www.pentaxforums.com/gallery/images/112220/large/1_IMGP6361.jpg
