This lens is really good considering it's cost. It is acceptably sharp well past 200mm, and still quite good all the way to 300.
It is great for bright days outdoors where you can keep it around f8-11. I would not recommend it for an indoor hockey game. That requires glass that costs and weighs much more.
Focus with the K-1 is scary fast. The zoom ring on mine is sticky but that might just be mine.
For what I paid, it can't be beat.

Fantastic performance in a super zoom! Auto focus is fast, and dead silent on a K5IIs. Images are really sharp with good contrast. Well worth the money.

Good all around use lens, lives on my K-50. Provides sharp images, I haven't noticed any vignetting. Has a heavy, solid feel. Focusing is fast and silent. Only problems, when switching to manual focus, you need to slide a switch on the lens to release the focus ring to manually turn it. And, the zoom ring turns in the opposite direction of Pentax lenses. I would rate this lens comparable to the Pentax 18-135 WR in image and focus performance. For half the price.
