Very usable for Aurora, and I also use it a lot on landscapes and seascapes
My favorite lens for aurora
Its fast and sharp.
Autofokus is very good.
Greate built quality.
Easy to use, as long as you know pros/cons with fisheyes.
Havent tested it for lens flair yet. Its pretty dark here nowdays. (26. of dec)
Stopped down, you get the star effect on streetlights. Nice.
Have tried the DA 12-24, but i find this a lot more useful for Nothern light photography.

Now i have been the proad owner of this lens since christmas eve. Its a joy to use. Fantastic for catching auroras, land- and seascape .
Its christal sharp.
Depth of field from the tip of my toes, to the other side of the world.
Avoiding bend horizons is easier than I had thought.
Colors are vibrant.
This is for now, used a whole lot more than the DA15 ltd.

Very sharp, and with nice bokeh.
The limiter is handy.
What on earth do Tamron think with this stupid MF/AF switch?
Made of plastic, but it feels ok.
If I have to buy a new macro lens around 100mm, I would tried the D Fa 100 WR first.
The MF/AF switch is useless. You have to decide to use MF or AF. So I use MF when taking macros, and AF when I use it as a tele.

This is my first Sigma. A nice, used 135-400. Its a bit sharper than my wifes Tamron 70-200 f/2,8
I was not expecting it this good. Its possible I got one lucky example.

|  I just wanted to note here that Tokina made several versions of 28/2.8--Mine is just a plain "Tokina" with 49mm filter threads. It has the "A" style contacts and aperture lock.
In addition to the Ricoh pin, this version has a flange protruding from the back of the mount, which prevents the lens from seating on any body with SDM/powerzoom contacts (i.e. DSLRs). Had to buy me some JIS schrewdrivers to remove the flange.
After those mods, the lens mounts and meters correctly on my K5 , and my wifes K20D.
The build quality compares favorably with Pentax-A lenses--aperture ring is metal. The focus direction is opposite that of Pentax's manual-focus lenses.
These version is hard to get. If you take a seatch at E-bay, you will find plenty of 52mm, but very seldom the 49mm filter thread.
