This lens is a mystery, I don't really know in which Tamron category it should be (adaptall/adapt-a-matic) since I didn't find any clue on it; it is visually different from the other 135mms.
Edit : It's an early adaptall derived from the adaptamatic (thanks Marcus :))
However it is a real pleasure to use it, the focus ring is perfect and allows to focus quickly.
The IQ is great : from F4 it give very good sharpness, few AC and the colors are warm.
Here some examples
f5.6 1/750
f5.6 1/1500

I may have told everything with the "pros"!
In fact this lens is a very good suprise, at f5.6 it is incredibly sharp, as good as my best primes, perfect for portait. The colors are great and the bokeh too.
The bad point is that when wide open, my pictures are really soft and blurred, especially when I focus infinity, Maybe it is my copy or the M42 ring...
In conclusion : if you can get one, don't hesitate ! :)

What a great lens! A compact 500mm that provides great pictures with a really good IQ and sharpness. Turned into a 750mm with my Kr, it is really impressive how it can shoot far things.
The perfect condition is sunlight, a bright day so you can shoot at hogh shutter speed.
