| | Cheapest lens I ever bought, but also the worst lens I ever used so far.
It seems to have very poor coatings so it did not work well to use outdoors on a digital camera. It produced the most extreme flares I have ever seen in a lens.
But this lens was one of the first I used when started capturing macro shots indoors with my K10D, and it gave decent results. It was soon replaced it with proper macro lenses though, and it has since long ago been stored away in a box somewhere.
Below image was captured with this lens. | | | | | New Member Registered: November, 2013 Posts: 14 | Review Date: February 25, 2020 | Recommended | Price: $30.00

| | - - This old a.m. lens is really not so good. It is named also REVUENON SPEZIAL and with screw mount M42 - I've sold it immediately. (much flare, not sharp)
THERE IS A LOT kinds of REVUENON LENSES 2.8/135, because of some different joint ventures of FOTO QUELLE, GERMANY with different japaneese (and sometimes GDR as extremely sharp TREVUENON 1.8/50 double Gauss) factories
The newest version of AUTO REVUENON K-version came from Japan (not GDR). It is shorter and characteristic black lined gum grip. It is astonishing - much more better.
++ sharpness excellent, from f 4-11 80 LP/mm = 160 black and white lines with 20 APS-C Pentax sensor and 90 LP/mm = 180 black and white lines
with 24 MP Fuji (=BASF) sensor of x-T100 (stopped down to f 8-11 naturally).
++ excellent color rendition
++ high contrast
+/++ nealy no flare
+ scarecely CAs wide open, disappearing totally with f 8-11
MY PERSONAL TIP FOR YOU:
*******************************************************************************************************************
PAY ATTENTION TO the rubber grip with lines - this edition is much more better than the older one !!!

| | bought for ca 25$ dusty inside and stuck aperture, after a strong cleaning i fixed it but results are various, under a gentle light and not so far objects, it work superbly, but under sunny sky or a long distance results are very weak.

| | Bonjour,
Yet another thrift shop find in M42 ... another 135/2.8 to play around with. Had to straighten out a very bent hood (which is built-in) so cosmetically a far from perfect specimen, but optically clean. Six blade aperture and half stops from f2.8 to f 16. Shoots like a lens of its era ... just another to add to the collection and to post images on the "135mm" thread.
Below is another image and one can see the bent up hood toward the top ... | | |
