Revuenon Special / Mamiya-Sekor ( pantor ) 35mm F2.8
supersize

Description:
Online opinion is firm this is a rebadged Mamiya-Sekor made lens. Also sold as a Pentor and apparently as a Vivitar too.
There is also a Revuenon 35mm f2.8, not designated special, and an auto revuenon 35mm, that are clearly of different origin.

Pros: beautiful colors, relatively light
Cons: not the sharpest, bokeh a bit busy.

This 35mm on my m4/3 camera, looks like a 70mm on a full frame camera.
Wide open, it is still sharp. The corners on my copy are quite okay. When stopped down two stops, like with any 35mm or shorter is sharp across the image.

But the best feature is that the colors are so nice. I had a Vivitar 35mm m42 lens, that was not as saturated as this one. I like to take it out on summer days and shoot colorful scenes.

Pros: only in the center sharp
Cons: many strong CA's in the edges and not so sharp
Sharpness: 4    Aberrations: 3    Bokeh: 6    Handling: 6    Value: 3

sharpness stopped down 6 points, wide open 2 points, averidge 4 points

I've sold it, because of weak sharpness in the edges

stopped down much more better

not my favorite

Pros: Sharp, cheap quality optics
Cons: not MC.

It is a very good lens, in my opinion it is a very convenient lens for DSLR especial if you find it at a small price as it will become roughly a 50 mm on a DSLR. the coating is similar to 135. After some research i found that this lens is the same as the Mamiya sekor 35 f2.8.
I corrected only the white balance but no sharpening as been applied.
