Pros: | Identical to the Pentax version but cheaper on used market | Cons: | Not focus limiter - No WR - It says Samsung on it | | One of my 2 most used lenses...
This came into the used section of my local camera store at £100 less than the Pentax version comes in used... (I have since seen 2 more at similar prices)
It is mentally sharp and images look simply stunning (both macro and as a portrait lens)
Unless I manage to afford a WR version of this lens I'll be keeping it...
Only real gripes are:
No focus limiter. The throw is huge - can take a while to lock on but it is acurate when it gets there so 'apples and oranges'
And
No WR - nuff said init.
Apart from that, just the fact that it says 'Samsung' instead of 'Pentax' seems people take Samsung camera gear less seriously than Pentax as I've encountered a s******... Although I s******ed right back - He was using a Canon kit-lens!
It seems to come to the used market at less than the Pentax version (at least here in the UK) so you chould be looking out for one in your hunt for a 100mil macro lens.
