Pros: none
Cons: everything else!
Sharpness: 1    Aberrations: 4    Bokeh: 4    Handling: 7    Value: 6    Camera Used: Pentax KP

Probably the least-sharp lens I have ever had the misfortune to mount on any camera, ever!
I suppose there is a possibility the mirror is misaligned, but frankly, the lens is quite well made, so I doubt it, Mine is the Korean-made HMC variant, and I cannot recommend it for anything other than a rather bulky camera cap! Avoid at any price.....

Pros: Cheap
Cons: Dangerous to DSLRs, always soft

I got this lens when I bought a camera hard case at a charity auction and found this and two others lenses inside. Cosmetically, the lens seems in perfect condition and came with all three filters.
The two times that I tried to use it directly with a DSLR (istDL and K10) the cameras freaked out and the batteries immediately went flat. I'm assuming this was from the lens shorting out contacts. I've had no such problems with it with my old Program Plus. The only safe way I have found to use this lens with a DSLR is to use it with a 2x converter. This stops it from shorting out, but the resulting magnification is over the top.
I have never been able to get a sharp image from this lens, no matter what I have tried. If you are only interested in fuzzy shots at extreme magnification, then have a go.
I would sell this one on, but I would feel like I was dumping on the next owner. I may just use it as a paper weight since I got it for free and have no money involved in it...
Update---- I have to admit to being stupid. It never occurred to me that I needed to take the paint off the flange. Paint has been removed, so the cameras now behave if I use it. It works, but I still cannot get a sharp picture from this lens. Rating bumped from a 2 to a 4.
