Pros: Sharp, smooth bokeh, lack of CA, extremely nice zoom ring
Cons: Not a compact lens in any way, Sigma's ZEN finish is horrible

Modified this lens from C/Y mount, and I'm extremely pleased with it, it has become my main wildlife lens.

Lens if very sharp even wide open, with no discernible chromatic abberations. Colour rendition is rich and pleasant.

I find no problems focusing it manually as the focus ring is very smooth and nicely dampened, making it easy to precisely focus the lens with one finger. I find the feel similar to Canon's L lenses.

Only real cons are size and weight, but even so it is well balanced and easy to hand-hold. Another anoying thing is Sigma's lens ZEN finish from that age, that has a tendency to become sticky and/or is really difficult to clean, scratches and peels off easily.
