Found this lens on shop goodwill site, thought it might be a good one to try.So I bought it..
.In my hands & on the camera it felt really solid, well built lens with a permanent small tulip lens hood.Which is a plus... something you don't have to worry about losing.
1st time I tried taking photos with AF but the shutter wouldn't fire, but when I switched to manual mode,the lens works just fine.It's okay it's because it's a totally manual lens.Which isn't that bad once you figure how to focus while shooting.
I'll get used to it, along with my Promaster19-35mm lens & my latest purchase a Sigma DC 17-50mm f/2.8 HSM EX Lens For PENTAX

This lens is hard to find in PK mount. Mine is in Nikon mount, installed to a Sony A7 through an adapter.
Lens has a limited but useful range. My test shows that it is very sharp especially in the center. Color is a bit muted however it may be due to A7's choice of rendering than the lens itself.

I really don't like the rating system so I'm going to break it down like this...
Sharpness: 10, based on compared to older zooms of it's generation. This thing holds it's own against most zooms of even today. Not all, but most. It's pretty sharp stopped down. It's not that sharp wide open, but quickly sharpens up. I've shot it against a Rokinon 14mm 2.8 and they are very comparable, which is pretty amazing.
Aberrations I haven't noticed much at all. Though under the right circumstances it's probably there. I would need to shoot a lot more to determine this, but nothing noticeable under regular shooting so far.
Bokeh I really like the bokeh this lens produces, but it's hard to rate it high because at wide open you don't get the sharpest image. This might be good for portraits where tack sharp isn't desired. Focusing distance also isn't that close.
Handling: I'd have to say a solid 9, feels good in the hands, but I am not very particular with these sorts of things. One issue my copy has is lens creep. It's not an issue so long as the lens is not facing directly 90 degrees up. You'd have to use a rubberband around it for shots like that.
Overall value I give it a 10. This lens is a step up from the older generation and has the same optics as the AF version which IIRC is not available for Pentax.
This lens is SUPER rare for K mount. It is unlikely that you'll come across one.
It's hard to put an actual value on this lens. There are very few options for a FF lens in this focal range that are sharp stopped down without being very costly. While the older versions can be had for around $160 on ebay they do not have the same optics as this one, which shares the same optics as far as I know, with the AF version, which is a well regarded lens. It's also nearly impossible to find. I have only ever heard of one other person owning a K-mount, and for all I know, this could be that same lens.
For the Landscape Photographer this is an excellent lens stopped down, with an excellent focal range.
