| | This was the first lens I obtained when I bought my first Pentax DSLR. I had one when I was shooting with a Canon film camera.
For the price this lens is really fast. F2.8 at the wide end and only dropping to F4 at the telephoto end. When you consider the price this lens is super reasonable. Sometimes I wish it were a bit sharper, but at this price point it's a pretty decent.
With the 1.5X crop factor, 28 isn't really wide angle enough to shoot a lot of indoor scenes but if you can live with that and the fact that it isn't super sharp, it's an awesome lens.

| | This lens is a very good buy, heavy lens but not to much heavy, is built like tank , although it’s not water proof and not having seal on it, it feel solid to turn the zoom and my copy is the one with a black mate colour (Sigma have a 3 different black colour type) It comes with both lens cap and a hood. The hood is very useful in shoot a day light.
It’s not a very perfect quality of glass, but it will be great for “everyday lens”. In f2,8 stop it can produce nice swirl bokeh and consider the DA 16-50 is little bit expensive for me to catch, this lens is reasonable to buy. It’s a big value for money if you want to get all round lens compared with tamron 28-75 or DA 16-50, they both have 2,8 constant aperture but the price is much higher than this lens.
