Pros: | sharpness, ease of handling, looks | Cons: | none really. A tad slow, but hey, I knew that when I got it | | Its not a 10 due to its relatively small max aperture, but I already knew that when I hit the buy button. Still, if this was a f2.8 - that would be excellent
Got this off a forum member who modified the lens into a K mount. Thought it would look great against the silver pentaxt SLR bodies, and it does! What came as a pleasant surprise was the sharpness of the lens wide open, and the bokeh.
Sharpness:
Great wide open, and as a result I seldom stop down when I use this lens - there is no need to. It serves very well in travels in this regard, where I just set it to the max aperture in 'A' setting, and snap when the frame is focused. No fiddling required with the green button
Bokeh:
Surprisingly good for a 6 bladed aperture. Very creamy and smooth.
Summary - very very capable small lens and a real bargain.
