| | The lens is sharp and does what it was made for... Allows to be "quicker" in the field. Why? there is no need to get extension tubes, rear converter, reverse rings out of the rucksack.
Quicker in brackets, the time, you safe for not needing anything else, will be eaten up by the all-manual handling.
I have plenty of flashes (incl. macro ring lights) that's helping to reduce the time needed to set it up under changing weather conditions.
I have done several trials, would i buy it again? Yes.
I don't like that the lens is darkening with magnification. This caused me to lose some shots as they where too dark. But I think this happens with almost all macro lenses.
All Shots taken hand held, with no flash.
The butterfly is the same on both pictures, and this is what makes this lens so versatile you can go really close if your subject allows it. | |
