| | So far from my experience with this lens from just a few weeks, there is not a lot to love about this lens. This thing is pretty terribly blurry at its maximum aperture, it suffers from pretty awful aberrations and awful haze when the sun is anywhere near frame. Even stepped way down I couldn't get rid of glowing edges and softness.
On the flip side, the bokeh is buttery smooth, and the aberrations and softness lends itself well for portraits. Though at 200mm, it flattens features too much on crop sensors, I think it could make some pretty nice dreamy portraits on film. It has excellent build quality with a handy slide-out hood. While it's a bit short, it helps with the contrast and flare in some circumstances.
