| | This lens is optically identical to the other versions; I couldn't detect the slightest difference with the SL-IIs.
It is a delight to use: all metal; smooth 'just right' (not too light, not too tight) focusing ring, nice aperture ring, small size.
But optically, I am disappointed, especially after reading some other reviews (including Ken Rockwell).
At f/2.0 there is a lot of chromatic aberration, green and magenta. It disappears st f/2.8 and above though. Vignetting (on APS-C) and distortion are moderate. Sharpness? Not good at all at f/2.0, even if relatively consistent from center to corners (on an APS-C camera).
It improves at smaller apertures, but slowly, and never reach 'excellent'
I am puzzled when I see the comparative images taken by Ken Rockwell. (the Voigtlander seems to be better than Nikon lenses)
