Found in an antique/junk shop attatched to an old Yashica FRII in mint condition had original boxes and looked unused my first 50mm f1.4 and all for £25. I now have two more the om Zuiko 50 1.4 and the super takumar 50 1.4 both of which have better bokeh than the yashica but the yashica to my eyes is sharper than the zuiko and a match for the super takumar. Anyway heres some shots taken with it

Bonjour,

A copy of this lens showed up in the used equipment shelves of my local B&M camera shop. Didn't hesitate too much knowing that I could "easily" modify to a PK mount ... took some time, since it was my first try at this and all worked out quite well.

First test shots are very positive, but I need to practice my MF at f1.4 ... not easy and need more time to learn how to best use this new "Franken-lens" ... Thus, a quick and deserved "8" rating for the moment with more detailed critic to come later. (EDIT : After testing I have upped the ratings = 9 overall ... in my books considering personal "performance/cost/value" ratio)

Below are sample images of the modified Yashica and it on my K-5.

Salut, John le Frog

TEST SHOTS: ( K-5, SOOC: no PP )
