The most important innovation about this lens is, the remarkable fact, that it is one of the worldwide first computer calculated lenses.
DS-M TOMIOKA will only work in the automatic aperture mode.

Pros: Bokeh
Cons: Only automatic Aperture mode, [crazy] expensive

I own this lens since last year for about 500usd in Mexico. I consider it absurd that it is being sold in about 1100usd to 1350usd on ebay.

I'd glued the aperture pin and I'd glued the original pentax M42 to K adapter in order to prevent it to fall from the camera; then replace the orginal focus rubber using a pentax rubber; I hope that if something is going to drop is the reselling price Yes, I'm a criminal, but it's criminaly practical also

Sharpness, wide open, is not as good as the Pentax-K 50mm 1.2 but the bokeh is unique.

Aberrations disapears closing two clics the aperture.

Edited to add a this note: very easy to focus. There's is a narrow gap between the 10m and infinitum, that's is "bingo" if you nail manual-focus in that area (check last pic), use live view and focus peaking to get best result.
